Spring Is Almost Here

STARTING SOMETHING NEW ... WRITING THAT IS ... OR MAYBE FINISHING?

SPRING IS A GREAT TIME TO START OR FINISH THAT WRITING PROJECT

I love Spring because I am a sunshine baby and of course bluebonnets (from Texas you know … like this beautiful painting by my friend Lap Ngo), but I also love it because we see new life all around us. Despite COVID19, multiple deaths, and struggles, I have been blessed by new opportunities, connections with vintage friends, and seeing other friends having grandchildren 3 in the past few months. One, my coach and accountability partner, who never thought she and her husband would be grandparents. The other my next-door neighbor growing up (practically friends since birth) had 2 babies about a week apart (a boy and a girl) so exciting.

Spring is also a great time to start and or finish that writing project. It is the perfect time to start as you have about six months before the holiday or Christmas rush and a great time to finish so you can catch the Summer Reading frenzy that goes on every year. Even with relaxing rules around Covid19 and vaccines so people will feel they can get out more, I think people will still continue to read. Those of us who are diehard readers and those who discovered a new love for reading or listening to books during this time of forced changing lifestyles. Both of these groups will be looking for new authors to add to their libraries.

So make a plan. Review some of my previous posts. Commit to spending time, energy, and even money on your writing project. If this is your dream it is worth an investment. You are worth it. You deserve it. Comment below or ask a question if you are struggling with some issue related to your book or story.
