Creating your book may seem like a daunting and overwhelming task. In fact, I often talk to people who say they are in the process of writing their book and some of them have been writing for many, many, many years. It shouldn’t take 5, 7, or 10 years to write your book. Let me be clear here … I am talking about non-fiction or children’s books. It may take you longer to write a fiction book but that is a topic for another day and for someone more knowledgeable than me. (Hint: maybe a guess author will drop by one day.)
If you have been struggling with procrastination or you have just gotten stuck in a section and are not sure what to write about next. Don’t worry that is completely normal in the writing process. I have some strategies that just might help you (check out some of my other articles, email me or set up a consult). Don’t you think it’s time to finish your book (100%) and get your message out there? So how do you do that?
1. Start with a solid outline and content you already have.
2. Take time away and create as much of your book as you can in one sitting.
3. You may like to journal.
4. Interviewing others is a great way to start.
5. Questions & Answers.
Writing or creating your book can be the most exciting part of the process –– and it doesn’t have to be hard. It’s time to get over the “overwhelm” and get to the “done and on the best-seller list”.
Also, did you happen to notice I said Creating your book in the first sentence of this article? That’s because today you don’t even have to be a good writer or write at all to create a best-selling book. Ways 1-3 above usually involves you actually writing your book or working with someone to write your book. Ways 4-5 can be done using audio or video and then using a virtual assistant or a transcription service to write out the information you have Created through that audio or video interview. No writing on your part.
So these are 5 ways to Write or Create your book and begin your author adventure. Or if you have already started writing just keep going or get back to it. Don’t delay start or begin to finish that book writing project today.
